31 MPs Declares their assets and liabilities, Strengthening Accountability and Transparency.

MBABANE -A total number of 31 Members of parliament (MPs) in Eswatini have publicly declared their assets and liabilities in line with section 241(1) of the Eswatini constitution. They marked a major step towards a great transparency and accountability in the country’s governance.
These declarations are part of an on-going effort to ensure the public officials are held to the highest standards of integrity and foster public trust in the government.
The declarations aim to combat corruption and ensure that MPs act in the best interest of the public. The commission on human rights and public administration, which oversees the declaration process, has played a crucial role in supporting MPs understand their legal obligations and the importance of transparency in maintaining public trust. “By declaring their assets, MPs are demonstrating leadership and setting a positive example for other public officials,” said the commission spokesperson.
