Documentation of the commissions activities.

As part of the commission’s mandate to promote and protect human rights and public integrity the commission continues to engage communications, monitor traditional justice systems and ensure transparency through public service declarations of assets and liabilities.
The Commission recently engaged with the Mdobandoba community in Big Bend as part of the youth and women.
empowerment, that was hosted by kwacha indvodza and COSPE. During this community event, Human Rights Examiner Nelsiwe Zwane highlighted the importance of every Liswati knowing and claiming their rights as outlined in the constitution of Eswatini.
Community members expressed their concerns and the commission was committed in addressing the issues. Through the activities the commission aims to empower communities, raise awareness and prevention of human rights.
As part of its documented activities, the commission oversaw the declaration of assets and liabilities by public officials in line with section 241(1) of the constitution of Eswatini. By declaring their assets, Public officials set a positive example and reinforce the national commitment to good governance and to fight against corruption.
In a separate engagement at the Eluvinjelweni Umphakatsi, the commission attended a case regarding land dispute, where about 25 Luhlangotsini homestead were affected by the proposed construction of a Green Chert beneficationo plant and supporting infrastructure at Nkomanzi. Unfortunately, no resolution was reached and the case was postponed.
Additionally, the commission contributed to a newsletter that highlighted the activities done in first quarter which includes its engagement with the elections and boundaries Commission, showcasing success stories, declarations and orientations.
Through these efforts, the commission promotes a culture of accountability and unity, working to ensure everyone have access to justice and fair treatment. The commission remains committed to its goal of fostering human rights education, supporting community dialogue, encouraging integrity in both public and traditional governance systems.
